I need them.
I usually buy RainX brand wipers. What does Oppo buy? The Dart needs them badly and I wasn't overly satisfied with the RainX ones on the Stratus.

I buy the slide in refills from wherever they’re cheapest.

Reasons? Are they superior to others?

Rain-X Quantum. I used to buy Bosch Icons but these are pretty sweet! When you first put them on they tell you to run them dry for a few minutes as it applies a Rain-X to your windshield which helps minimize wiper usage.

What? Slide in refills? Never heard of them.

My Rain-X wipers did not work well until I used the spray they also make, but I think thats more because the spray is supposed to be a repellant.

I was actually going to put on a new coat of Rain X today. Those sound awesome, less work for me.

I religiously use Rain X, reapply it every couple of months. The Stratus just seemed to eat wipers whether they were Rain X or another brand I tried out.

Bosch. Always Bosch. Aerotwins for the GTI, but I used to run Icons on my old car.

I figured that's what they were. I've just never heard of them before.

Alright. Are they that superior?
![]() 05/16/2015 at 09:35 |

Definitely. They never streak, judder, or smear and easily last a year or longer (even in the hot FL sun and torrential rain).

I always use a good set of RainX, they haven't let me down yet.

I shall look at them!

Any specific ones? Or just the cheapest?

Years ago, I used the best ones Rain-X offered for a Cavalier. They worked great. Convinced, I bought the same kind for my mom’s Milan. Didn’t work as well. I’m guessing it had more to do with the different size blades and different contours of the glass.
So, next time I tried Bosch cause they were on sale. Nothing special.

I have the Latitude’s on mine right now which are 2nd from the bottom. They’re frameless and have yet to streak or make any noise.

I'll give them a gander and see what's on sale.

Bosch Icons. I have them on both the M3 and the Safari and my girlfriends Taurus and they don’t make noise or streak whatsoever on any of them. They’re also frameless or whatever it’s called, which I think is superior to the metal ones.

I bought the el cheapo $10 ones on my car and they work fine.

I’ve got Bosch right now and am very happy with them. They don’t streak at all and work great in crazy Florida weather. But I know they are pricey... they just came with the car.
Oddly enough, for a great price, I’ve been very impressed with Michelin. And fun fact, they are CHEAPER at Home Depot and seem to be the best bang for your buck. I sound crazy I know but trust me

Well damn. Didn’t know about Home Depot, there is one less than a mile from my house and I’ll be taking a look next time I’m there. I ended up getting the RainX Latitudes(top end ones) on sale, works fine for the moment.

We had no clue either. Just so happened to be the aisle we walked down to go checkout and right there were a whole bunch of wipers like $5 a piece cheaper than Walmart!
